I had an intuitive reading this last week with Rebecca Dehate and I can’t stop thinking about what I was told…
Production for the podcast has been a lot of work. Sometimes it’s so much work that I consider giving it up this coming October when I reach the one year mark. During one of those feeling-low states a couple weeks ago I sat in front of my computer after spending hours working on a single episode and I received the impulse to listen to the trailer of the podcast. I hadn’t listened to it since I posted it, September 2022. I found myself getting emotional to the point of tears. As I listened I thought to myself, “it’s really good” and I found a renewed passion for what I have spent the last nine months working on, without monetary compensation. A few days prior to that moment, I had verbalized my feelings of overwhelm and defeat to my husband, “I don’t know how much longer I can keep working two full time jobs, neither of which I am being paid for” (the other job being a stay-at-home mom).
Fast forward to my reading with Rebecca and new energy has possessed me. In the reading I was told that I will be getting on a speaking circuit and when things start gaining momentum, they will progress quickly. I should be sitting in an entirely different perspective come this winter.
All of that sounds good to anyone who is wanting their business to be successful but the reason the impact was so strong on me was because I was acutely aware that Rebecca was relaying information to me which spoke to thoughts I had been having, which I had not uttered verbally to another soul. Things like, withdrawing from production for the summer. As things are right now, my husband is the only one of us who earns an income. He has completely funded this business venture of mine 100%, without any support from any other source.
This is something that weighs heavily on me at times as I know how hard he works and I very much want to be contributing financially to our family. Well, with school being out for summer, I cannot very well work on the podcast when the kids are home. Therefore, it requires childcare for them so that I can keep things going. That of course, comes at a cost, which got me considering all my options and seriously leaning towards taking the summer off so that I could be home with my kids, and save the childcare costs.
As Rebecca was tuned in intuitively, she relayed the message to me that I should not take the summer off, that it was important for me to continue growing my engagement. This information was reassuring for me because I truly do love this creative venture I have embarked on and I do believe it will be lucrative. I am so grateful to my best friend who offered to help me with the boys this summer at a rate that she allowed me to choose. Though I fight feelings of guilt associated with the financial aspects of what I am doing, I trust the process and I sit in eager anticipation for all that will become.
